Today's QFTD is from an article in last Saturday's Weekend Australian Magazine (for overseas readers, the magazine which accompanies The Australian newspaper on Saturdays), in an article about Derryn Hinch, the shock jock who has been elected to the Australian Senate. Hinch is adamant that he will not do deals for something he does not support just to get his own goals achieved. Asked if he could name any politicians who had maintained the same in the past, he said that he could not think of any.
Hinch:
"As [former NSW premier] Neville Wran said, by the time you get to the top you are covered in so much blood and muck and shit you wonder why you got into politics in the first place."
