Quote for the Day

In an interview with GQ magazine this week, Sir Paul McCartney revealed some less than savou.ry Beatles history:

"What it was, was over at John's house, and it was just a group of us. And instead of just getting roaring drunk and partying—I don't even know if we were staying over or anything—we were all just in these chairs, and the lights were out, and somebody started masturbating, so we all did."

That, however, is not why this has the distinction of being the Quote for the Day.  That honour goes to John Lennon.  According to McCartney, the participants were calling out the names of people they fancied, including Brigitte Bardot, but John Lennon spoiled the mood by calling out “Winston Churchill”.
