An email from Robyn, whose art has been previously written about in Bytes:
With Kara I appreciated the yarn byte and agree with your and her observations. Knitting for charitable purposes is now widespread in community groups. I thought you would be interested in the "Colours of the Country" beanies exhibition which toured at Grafton Regional Gallery some time ago. The beanies are knitted and otherwise constructed by the indigenous communities of the Pitjatjanjara and Anangu communities near Alice Springs and there is an annual exhibition and festival showcasing the works. They are not only works of art but very functional items of clothing as it gets devilishly cold in that part of the continent at night.
Your item on Kelly's Bush was also appreciated.
