Prisma

There is a new app called Prisma which, according to the developer of the app, uses a neutral network and artificial intelligence to convert photographs into works of art. There have been programs before which let you apply artistic effects to your photographs but nothing on this scale and quality.

At the moment it is available only for Apple IOS but a general version is being developed. For those into the technical side, unlike other photo editing apps, Prisma renders the image by going through different layers and recreate the image rather than inserting a layer over the image. Conversion is done inside the phone used to take the photograph.

Some examples of conversion:

There are twenty artistic filters available, including the styles of Van Gogh to Munch, with numerous new filters to be added.

My question is: Are artists now redundant?
