An email from friend Steve Matthews (usually I don’t post full names in that I am unaware as to whether persons would prefer to retain anonymity, but fore reasons below I am posting Steve’s full name):

G’day Otto,

Enjoyed the Kennedy Berlin speech very much. Thank you.

I am currently researching my next book about Hitler, and am going through a lot of Churchill stuff too. Churchill’s speeches were truly inspirational, ‘We will fight them on the beaches’ and ‘so much is owed by so many to so few’.

No doubt you have posted about Churchill’s speeches before, but could you do so again, please?

Regards as always

Steve m

Thanks, Steve.

Some speeches coming up.

Steve’s new book. Hitler's Brothel, has just been published.

Here is a commentary by the publisher:

Two sisters are brutally separated by war in tragic circumstances. Ania is imprisoned and forced to endure the atrocities of a Nazi concentration camp. Danuta’s search for her sister leads her into the dangers of the Polish Underground. Each will do what they must to survive long enough to find each other. Their dream of being reunited is crushed in shocking circumstances. In an astonishing twist of fate, the opportunity for revenge presents itself 60 years later. But faced with the ultimate decision what will be the outcome ... seek justice or revenge?

Spanning decades, Hitler’s Brothel is a tragic and gripping tale of deception, courage and survival.

The book cover has a comment:

Inspired by true events, this is an incredible story of courage and one of history’s darkest secrets.

The book

The author

Best wishes with the book, Steve.

Byter David B from Derbyshire, England responded to one of the “You had one job” images, the one that asked “Have you ever been in an accident that resulted in your death?” with provision to click Yeas and No.

David writes:

Otto

Last year I really did have a travel insurance application form which asked "Have you ever suffered from cancer, AIDS, or any terminal illness".

Since I have recovered from prostate cancer I answered yes and the application was rejected.

Thanks, David
