Merry Christmas Byters

To paraphrase the last lines of “And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda” . . .
. . . as year follows year, more Christmas cards disappear
Someday no one will send them at all.

The numbers of cards received, both personal and business, has been declining each year.  Some have been replaced by electronic cards but I feel that generally they are becoming part of a bygone age.

Readers will know that each year my family sends out a personalised card and this year was no exception. When I have spoken of not sending out Christmas cards, I have been met with protest from those who say they look forward to the tradition of receipt of the annual Christmas card.

So, dear readers, here is our family Christmas card for this year . . .

The artwork is by my daughter, Acacia, who always manages to come up with something tops, and the poem is by moi.

Stay safe, readers.

Otto
