Monday Miscellany: A Collection of Odds, Ends and Personals

A guy in China kicked a dog out of his car space, parked his car and left. The dog didn’t like being kicked. Following JFK's doctum - "Don't get mad. Get even" -  it returned with some friends and trashed the car's fender and wipers. The car owner wouldn’t have known how the damage happened but for an astonished neighbour having taken photographs . .

As one commentator said: Karma is not always a bitch, sometimes a bitch is karma!"

An anonymous 20 year old bartender in Birmingham in England uses his own money to help feed the homeless. Nothing unusual about that except that he does it dressed as Spider-Man. Cool. But why dress as Spidey? “Before when I was handing out food, no one would take a second look. But when they see Spider-Man handing out the food they come over and ask what I’m doing and are really interested. Most importantly [they] become inspired to get involved themselves.“

Brit Charles Eugster broke the world record for 200 metres by doing it in 55.38 seconds. Wait a minute, I hear you say (in my mind, at least), Usain Bolt holds the world record at 19.19 seconds. Well, that’s true, Charles holds it in his age category. Charles is 95 years old. He was competing in the British Masters Athletics Federation 200m, 95 years and over category and took 2.4 seconds off the previous world record, held by American Orville Rogers.

See fithe record run by clicking on:

Charles took up weight training at age 87 and this led to body building and athletics.

"I hoped getting fit would stop me aging. It was pure vanity, really. I looked a mess and I was having a late-life crisis. My body was degenerating. I thought: 'Who knows about muscles?’ So, when I was 87, I joined a bodybuilding club."
“The idea is to turn the heads of the sexy young 70-year-old girls on the beach."

Watch out, Chuck Norris.
